Dale
Pretz has an extensive background in deal making and possesses a unique
combination of business skills. Prior to establishing the Wilmington, DE
office of Sunbelt, he was the founder and principal of Engleman-Munro, a
consulting business focused on small to mid-size business deals. Before
that Mr. Pretz was Director of Corporate Development for Carpenter
Technology Corporation, a large, US based, specialty materials
manufacturing company, where he was primarily responsible for managing
acquisition and divestiture activities on a global basis, initially for
Carpenter’s developing new business division and subsequently for the
entire corporation. For the past 14 years, his primary focus has been
working with small to mid-sized companies in a wide variety of
manufacturing and technology industries, including involvement with the
acquisition and integration of new businesses, divestiture of
non-strategic businesses and management of intellectual property. Before
assuming the corporate development responsibility role at Carpenter, Mr.
Pretz practiced corporate law for 15 years. Mr. Pretz received a B.A. in
Business from Gettysburg College and a J.D. from the University of
Pittsburgh School Law.
Cliff Farmer

With
over twenty years experience in business and finance, Cliff Farmer
brings a unique mix of skill and experience to Sunbelt Business Advisors
of Delaware. During his professional career, Cliff has held
administrative positions in both the healthcare and higher education
fields where he managed multi-million dollar budgets; optimized people,
processes and systems; and achieved results using superior leadership
and negotiating skills. Cliff has considerable experience analyzing
business operations and performing financial analyses. He graduated with
a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Delaware, a Master's
Degree from Widener University and is now completing a Master's Degree
in Advanced Finance from Wilmington College. He has specialized
interests in business valuation, and tax administration. Cliff is
licensed by the Department of the U.S. Treasury to represent individuals
and corporations before the Internal Revenue Service as an Enrolled
Agent - a designation earned after completing a rigorous two day exam
that demonstrates competence in complex tax matters. Cliff is also
President of Farmer Tax Service where he prepares tax returns for
individuals and small business owners. In his role as a business
intermediary, Cliff calls upon his expertise in business, finance and
tax administration to provide the best possible service to sellers and
buyers alike.
Jonathan Pretz

Jon Pretz
joined the Sunbelt Business Advisors of Delaware team in 2004. Prior to
that, Jon built his own freelance web design company and founded a
not-for-profit community organization against violence, The Imagine
Project. While running The Imagine Project, Jon successfully solicited
substantial corporate funding and managed over one hundred volunteers.
As a result of this experience, Jon has developed expertise in
leadership, project management, and marketing, as well as exceptional
people skills. Jon graduated Cum Laude from Philadelphia's
Temple University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. Jon is
currently helping with a number of Buyers and Sellers solve their
current business needs and is looking for an opportunity to work with
you.

Mike
Derrickson joined the Sunbelt team in the Spring of 2007. Prior to
joining Sunbelt, Mike experienced the business world hands-on. In 2004,
he signed on with a struggling student loan company. One year later,
after all his superiors had left the company, Mike found himself running
the company's business operations and serving as its IT support. Within
another year, Mike and his small team had turned the struggling company
into a robust player in their market niche that is now recognized as one
of the power-players in their marketplace. This hands-on industry
experience, coupled with his can-do attitude and his Economics degree
from the University of Delaware, gives Mike a keen understanding of
business as well as the needs and goals of businessmen. Mike has a
history of providing the very highest level of service to his clients
and is looking forward to working with you as your broker.
